"Your new International United Miss Preteen 2024-25 is Emerson Blue!"  

When I heard these words called as I stood on the IUM stage beside so many accomplished and talented girls, I could barely contain my shock and excitement.  I would say that it was a dream come true but it's really a dream that is just beginning...

I'm a seventh grader from Florida who loves spending time with friends and family and playing with my rainbow schnoodle, Mia.  At school, I'm captain of the Spirit Squad, a house leader and play on the volleyball team.  I also am a member of the debate team and won second place in Congressional debate at the Florida State Debate Championship.  

My passion, however, is for all things STEM!  It started in kindergarten when I got to dissect a pig's heart.  Since then, science has been one of my very favorite things. This led me to create my platform, STEMerson and the Pink Coat project, which focuses on empowering girls to choose STEM and all it has to offer.  I create STEM packets which educate girls and boys on notable women in STEM and their contributions to society.  I also have sponsored a STEM camp and awarded two Pink Coat scholarships for girl-led science projects.   I hope to show girls that you can be girly and smart, all at the same time. 

This is what led me to choose IUM.  This system values authenticity and uniqueness and wants you to just be you!  There is no mold to try to fit in to.  You can be yourself and be surrounded by other girls who are being their authentic self too.  It's a system with integrity and transparency and one that  creates bonds that last far beyond pageant week.  I'm so excited to be a member of the IUM sisterhood!
